Travelling has never been as popular as what it is today and every year more and more people travel to some far away destination. Package holidays are very popular that include air flights, transfer and hotel accommodation with meals included. However, many people enjoy holidays where they follow maps for navigation and travel from one destination to another often pitching up a tent or staying at a YMCA hostel. Young people, particularly students who might be on a gap year from University find this a cheap and more interesting holiday than being based in one place. Campers usually head for a warm climate and use gas barbeques (Gasgrill) to cook their food. It is very important that they have a map with them when they go to some unknown destination as it is very easy to become lost and unable to get help. People need maps to help them with navigation and anyone setting off who is unsure of the route to take can easily buy a map that will help them.

Nowadays Sat Navs are becoming very popular amongst motorists as an easy way of finding their way around. Maps have been used for hundreds of years and without them travelling would be very difficult. Scouts and Cubs who regularly go on camping holidays will be taught how to follow a map and reading maps is also taught to youngsters at school. Where ever people travel shops can always be found that sell maps and information about the surrounding area. Many places will have an information centre that provides tourists with leaflets about the best places to see and the easiest ways of getting to them. The AA publishes a road atlas that has all the major routes to different cities shown on easy to follow maps. Back packers enjoy travelling from one destination to another and usually take everything they need with them, including maps and barbeque gasgrill (Gas Grill). Some people enjoy travelling abroad not just to sun bathe in a warm climate but to experience the different cultures, the different language spoken and the exotic foods. Everyone has their own idea of the perfect holiday and good navigation generally helps towards the enjoyment of any holiday.
